Mortuary Shipping

Are you looking for Mortuary Shipping? Bergen Funeral Service has been providing Mortuary Shipping for many years with compassion and great customer care.

Mortuary shipping can be complicated and is generally done with some assistance, especially with things like planning for the remains of loved ones to be sent back to the family. To pull this off, you might need the aid of someone who has the experience in setting up and executing these complex arrangements.

It can be really destabilizing when issues with mishandling during the shipping process of remains occurs. It can lead to delays or even a botched funeral arrangement, incurring more avoidable expenses for the bereaved family. This can be hard to manage for the family as they are already burdened with paying for final expenses while emotionally in turmoil.

Mortuary shipping usually comes up in situations when a loved one dies in a state or country and there arises the need to ship the body to another state or country to be cremated or buried. If one decides to have the body cremated first, it will obviously cost less but a number of families would still prefer to traditionally see their deceased loved ones and say their final goodbyes.
Our known shipper status allows our funeral directors to schedule flights for mortuary shipping whenever necessary. We also receive discounts from airlines, which we provide to the family of the deceased.

Included with the body should be the following:

·         Communicable Disease Affidavit
·         Embalmers Affidavit (on funeral home's letterhead)
·         At least two certified copies of the death certificate
·         The burial / transfer permit
·         Authorization forms

Once the body is cremated, the urn must be packed into a wooden box, and with it, the following documents are needed:

·         At least two certified copies of the death certificate
·         At least two certified copies of the cremation certificate
·         The non-contraband Affidavit (on funeral home's letterhead)
The complete name, address and phone number must also be provided of the funeral home that will be receiving the cremated mortuary shipping.
